Last weekend was the Gasparilla Day Parade. Its was more of a BURRR than a RRRR LOL. Now comes the KNIGHT PARADE!!! With warmer weather predicted. This is a once in a life time must do event!!! This parade rock and rolls down 7th Ave in Historic Ybor City. Get your best Pirate outfits out and be ready for the beads!

What started as a single tweet has gone across America. The idea is a simple one. Students with unpaid lunch accounts are often given a cold lunch instead. Contact your local schools and offer to pay off these accounts. Who knows who & where to contact in our local schools to do this? One school in Minnesota paid off over $100,000 already. Hopefully you will be hearing a lot more about this positive trend soon.

On a search for the BEST BROWNIE IN TAMPA 2017!
Judges will test their taste buds and choose the best tasting brownie as well as select the coolest creation.
The winner will earn cash prizes and the title of “BEST BROWNIE TAMPA 2017.”
Visitors to the Brownie Festival will be able to purchase creations from participating contestants as well as enjoy the regular entertainment and shopping at the Ybor City Saturday Market.

You Just Can Not Make This Up
Everybody loves Arthur!!! He is a very unique person with a special place in our hearts. One example is. Two couples came to the balcony at Hamburger Mary’s. They were very excited to see me (Tea Cup). The couples asked if I remembered them?? I laughed and said “Yes I gave you my card and you never called me!!” We all were laughing. The couples from Chicago told me that they were here 3 years ago and stopped by before going on a cruise. Now I was a tradition. Arthur then walked up and with out a introduction as to who they were said…… “How was your cruise?” They looked puzzled. Arthur actually actual said “You know the Carnival Paradise. The last time you were here you were going on the Paradise. I like that boat and have been on it.” Then Arthur walked away. The couples asked how did he know that? He is right it was the Paradise we were on the last time! Arthur’s memory is incredible. Love me some Arthur

The St. Augustine Distillery’s Historic Ice Plant Building
Finding a place big enough to house a distillery and convenient enough to allow folks to visit and learn what we were creating, was no small task. The Historic Florida Power & Light Ice Plant was the one building that had everything we needed. St. Augustine Distillery is located inside of Florida’s oldest ice manufacturing plant. Our building was completed in 1917, and served as the model for FP&L ice plants across the State of Florida. Portions of our south wall actually date back to 1905! Ice manufacturing was essential to local fishing and shrimping industries, as well as agriculture, prior to modern refrigeration. All produce and seafood shipped by rail was cooled by ice made in our building. At one time, this facility produced 125 tons of ice in one day! The Ice Plant is a contributing building to the Lincolnville Neighborhood on the National Register of Historic Places and was the first of its kind to make commercial block ice in Florida over 100 years ago……
During renovations to our facility, we uncovered steel beams and the bridge crane that moved the enormous ice blocks back and forth. As we learned more about the role of ice production and distilling in North Florida, we discovered an era when distilling was about crafting quality spirits rather than corporate efficiency. This is a legacy that we honor throughout our building and in producing our small-batch craft spirits such as vodka, gin, rum, and bourbon whiskey. In 2017, we will be celebrating the centennial of our building with events, specialty releases, and more. Stay tuned for more information!
