You Just Can Not Make This Up

Parents can say the darndest things. I grew up in Minnesota the home of PNR (Public National Radio)  and the show “Prairie Home Companion Lake Wobegon.” Minnesota values include hard working, simple honesty and sharing. One day my Dad asked me to go with him to buy a new kitchen table to surprise Mom. Of course it had to be prairie simple and wood. We picked out a table with 4 chairs. Then my Dad starts a very Minnesota debate with the salesperson. He tells them…  “The table sits against one wall so I only need 3 chairs.” They explain that it only comes with 4 chairs. The very polite debates starts all over again. Ends with “Sir we will have to charge you for 4 chairs.” Dad says “that OK give the 4th chair to somebody who needs 5 chairs.” We load the table & 3 chairs into the truck and go home. When we arrive home there is Mom & Dad, Me & Carrie. Mom asks were is the 4th chair? Dad.. Didn’t need it so I gave it to somebody else. Mom but there 4 people her right now. Dad they are leaving tomorrow. LMAO  Welcome to “Prairie Home Companion Lake Wobegon!!!” http://www.npr.org/podcasts/381444601/a-prairie-home-companion-news-from-lake-wobegon
