Cupcake Festival in Centennial Park

Local cupcake bakers will go head-to-head to at the 6th Ybor City Saturday Market Cupcake Festival.

A panel of judges will determine the best-tasting cupcakes along with the coolest creations and the winner will earn the title of “Best Cupcake in Tampa 2016″.

Visitors to the Cupcake Festival will be able to purchase creations from participating contestants as well as enjoy the regular entertainment and shopping at the Ybor City Saturday Market.

Streetcar Festival Ride for FREE

Come out and celebrate the TECO Line Streetcar System at Streetcar Fest 2016! Enjoy FREE streetcar rides from 8:30 a.m. – 1:30 a.m.! In addition to FREE rides, enjoy live music and entertainment and other activities along the streetcar line. Come early, stay late and only park once!

TAMPA PRIDE Holiday Fun Run

The first annual Tampa Pride Holiday Fun Run is a set of events to kick off the holiday season with a little exercise and a lot of fun! The first event is the Holiday Fun Run / Mrs. Claus in Bras 1.5k! We’ll gather in Centennial Park in Ybor City in our finest holiday running suits (prizes for best outfits!) and run/walk up 19th Street to Palm Avenue, west to Nuccio Avenue, south to 7th Avenue and back. Sarasota Pride

The day’s weather was in question but Sarasota Pride had a great day. Misting a bit at times, but the que was set and all went well, Many vendors, entertainers and area sponsors. This year the annual Sarasota Pride group had a doubling of number of attendees. That is a great achievement. It shows that community Pride events do matter and not just in large cities.

The Sarasota theme this year “We Are Orlando” honored the 49 Pulse Nightclub Victims that were murdered in Orlando last June. Pride President Cindy Barnes and the volunteers should be congratulated for there hard efforts. Among the area honored in a moment of silence was Pulse victim Eddie Sotomayer who headed up the gay travel company in Sarasota, Al & Chuck Travel.

More exposure and a sold out sponsorship show that Sarasota and the hundreds of smaller community Prides share the communities residents with celebration and exposure..

PRIDE Skate Halloween Party

Grand Opening NEW Hamburger Mary’s St Petersburg

The Grand Opening of the new St Petersburg Hamburger Mary’s had a very large crowd and St. Pete Mayor Rick Kriesman and family cut the Grand opening ribbon. Owner Kurt King and partners have now opened 4 Hamburger Mary’s in the Tampa Bay area.

A surprise stop in was former Florida Governor Charlie Crist who is now running for Congressional District 19 on the west coast of Florida. The Una Voce -Gay Mens Chorus sang and had performances by all the drag stars at Clearwater and Tampa Hamburger Mary’s performing.

New Re-Scheduled Orlando- ‘Come Out with Pride’ Date

Orlando Prides event “Come Out with Pride’  had to be re-scheduled as Hurricane Matthew was a major threat to the East coast and potential high threatening gusty winds way past west of Orlando.

The new Orlando Pride date is Saturday, November 12 at  Lake Eola Park in downtown Orlando. Huge Parade, Live National & Local Entertainment and Festival Market will be all around the lake park setting. Further details are coming out shortly.

TAMPA PRIDE will be there showing support.

Pride This Sat in Sarasota

This Saturday in downtown Sarasota is their annual Sarasota Pride Event. A large Festival and entertainment is scheduled.

Put a glass of water in your freezer. After it has frozen place a quarter on top of the frozen ice. When you come back if the quarter is not on top, that means the power was off so long the water melted. You should toss out all the re frozen items.
