You Just Can Not Make This Up
A good friend of ours just did a mail in cancer test. He had a video conference to talk with the Doctor about the results. His test came back positive. The Doctor said it wasn’t something to be alarmed about. If the test would have come back negative then they were 100% sure it was correct. If the test comes back positive there could be many different reasons for a false positive. He was told to see his primary doctor for a follow-up. Then the Doctor said that he could see our friend was upset. He asked if it was OK to pray with him to whatever God he believed in. Our Jewish friend said OK. At the end of the prayer the Doctor made the sign of the cross. Last our friend told us. This was the 1st time he went to a Doctor and was prescribe “Good Thoughts & Prayers.” Living in the times of covid brings out the best and strange.

Norway bans hate speech against bisexuals and transgender people.

Norway just banned hate speech against bisexual and transgender people, expanding protections passed in 1981 to protect gay and lesbian people.
“I’m very relieved actually, because [the lack of legal protection] has been an eyesore for trans people for many, many years,” Birna Rorslett of the Association of Transgender People in Norway told Reuters.

New Must have APPS
The Sam’s Club have a new app. You take photos of the bar codes on your items. Then when ready pay with your credit card. Then walk right past the checkouts and go to the door. They check a couple items and your good to go!
For all the DYI people. At the Home App you search for the items you need and it tells you the isle and bin location and the inventory. This app can be used from home. No more going to a store to find out they are sold out. You can also check inventory at different locations.
Nice to meet you Sir Stanley

You Just Can Not Make This Up
When you live in a 100+ year old home, the unusual becomes the normal. This past Tuesday afternoon our doorbell rang. There were 2 gay guys in their upper 50’s who we didn’t know. They told us that they lived here 29 years ago and now live in Atlanta. Over the next 2 hours they told us many paranormal stories about our home. The guys moved after 6 months and this was their 1st time back. At the end of our visit they said that the spirits must like us because the heavy feeling was gone. The final story was. There was an old guy that lived across the street. All day and night he would sit on the porch rocking, drinking coffee and watching our home. They would wave and he would wave back. The guys started to move out. For the first time the old guy got up and walked over to the guys. He asked in a heavy Southern accent, “Are you young-ns moving out? “They said yes. Then he said “That is a good thing. This will be the last time you will see me.” The guys smiled and said they were coming back tomorrow to finish move. The old guy again said “THIS WILL BE THE LAST TIME YOU SEE ME.” The next day there were 4 cars parked in front of his home. A lady walked over. She said I know you are the neighbors and I though you should know….. My Dad pasted away last night.

The Hotel Haya
The Hotel Haya
Now open in Ybor City is the Hotel Haya www.HotelHaya.com This past week Mackenzie Fox, Director of Lifestyle, gave the Board of Tampa Pride a special tour. The Haya is a welcome addition to Ybor City. The historic tiles from the El Goya were still there. The Tampa Pride Board thinks the pool would make for a Fabulous T-Dance! What do you think?
