Interesting APP

Our niece showed us an interesting app. It’s called “Life360”. You create a private circle of family. This app then lets you know where they are (their phone) is at any time. It also tells if it’s moving and how fast. This can be a very good app and we also see how it can be abused too. So far we really like it a lot. It makes life a lot easier knowing how to plan time and is a safety feature too.

Metro Wellness & Community Centers held their Annual Fund raiser at Stetson College of Law in Gulfport.The annual fund drive supports the many LGBTA groups at the 3 Metro Wellness Centers.

The special night also had heroes receiving 3 very honored community awards. Our dear friend, Bob Pope handed out the Robert Pope Distinguished Leadership Award to St. Petersburg Deputy Mayor Dr. Kanika Tomain. Christina Burke received the Spirit of Excellence Award or working in Tampa Bay’s HIV community. Todd Richardson, a photorapher, graphic artist and part of Equality Florida for years of serving the LGBTA community.

In the 1990’s we bought custom made gay themed T-shirts at our MC FILM stores from Todd.

The big surprise was sharing the honor of Lorraine Langlois serving Metro Wellness for 25 years. Congratulations Lorraine because 1 person does make a difference.

The additional Silent Auction had products and services from around Florida up for bid.

How have y’all been doing? How’s the Plantation coming along?

I’ve been traveling a ton for work & haven’t had a opportunity to DJ in quite awhile. But this weekend I’ll be the DJ for the Sunday T-Dance on the Hurricane Rooftop 4-8pm. The weather looks like it’s going to be perfect, mid-70’s & mostly sunny. The view from the rooftop is great, a beautiful view of Pass-a-Grille Beach & the Gulf, plus unforgettable sunsets!

Was hoping y’all could make it & if possible fire it out to the masses on Dishing with Mark & Carrie. I believe I sent it to via invite on FB. If you need something else, let me know & I’ll have Russ get you it.

You Just Can Not make This Up

Carrie was at the Tampa Zoo doing some business. When he returned to the van Carrie realized that he had locked the keys inside.  He called AAA and was a 1-2 hour wait.  Just then Former Tampa Polce Chief gave him a call about upcoming Pride Zoo La event and told her he accidentally locked himself out of van at the zoo and was waiting for AAA. Surprised in 3 minutes Jane appeared at the parking lot. No problem and door was opened.
