From Nancy Desmond…

From Nancy Desmond…. I was at the meeting. The goal is to make it permanent, but time constraints for hashing out the details with the state dictated that it could only be temporary for now, in time for Tampa Pride.

Downtown Tampa Is in a Build Craze too

From URBN Tampa Bay….

Within the last couple weeks, Seasons Apartments & Suites received approval for a sky bridge connecting the two towers. This involved the city entering into a right of way (ROW) encroachment agreement with the developer. This is the last aspect of the project’s zoning approval required for the project to proceed. The developer, a Swiss investment firm, has not commented on the project or its timeline publicly, but the developer would be free to seek a building permit and begin construction at any time now.

The project, located at 601 and 602 Whiting Street, is towers of 41 and 27 stories. The yellow tower, if built as planned, would be the 5th tallest building in Tampa. The project features 541 residential units, two restaurant slips, and one retail slip.
