A fall kick off during this years Labor Day Weekend in GaYBOR District! At some of the GaYBOR District clubs and busineses a full schedule of hot late summer events that will feature music artists, entertainers, theme parties and the Annual Fall GaYBOR District Bar Crawl.

The Tickets for the huge benefit bar crawl are being sold at Ybor City Wine Bar, Hamburger Mary’s and MC FILM. There is 10 bars with a shot at each bar stop. $15.00 for the fundraising event.

Honey Pot, G.Bar, Social, Bradley’s on 7th, R Bar, Liquid, YC Wine Bar, Agora, MC FILM and Hamburger Mary’s all have an all-star GLBT weekend line up!

The new bicycle & pedestrian pathway along the Courtney Campbell Causeway Bridge that connects Tampa with Clearwater is getting closer to completion. The 9 mile stretch that is being built is for pedestrian usage only and is built along the causeway highway. The new bridge span was built over Tampa Bay equal in height to the automobile bridges.

 The project was funded by Federal Tax dollars at a cost of $15 million.

The controversial Friendship Trail Bridge that was the old highway span that connected Pinellas with Hillsborough County next to Gandy Causeway Bridge was closed 5 years ago in 2008. In was for pedestrian and cycle usage only but was deemed by FDOT to be unsafe!

The new pathway will be connected to other walkways on each side of the bay.
