Nephew with the Mostess
A lot of Trick or Treat boxes full of pretzels are stacked next to my nephew & niece Dean &Tera’s front Halloween decorated door in Wisconsin Rapids. I can’t imagine that they have gotten over 850 young Trick or Treaters knocking at their haunting door for the last couple of years.
They are prepared for up to a thousand scary, gruelly, celebrity, fantasy costumed kids ringing the door bell for free goodies. His family all dress themselves up to scare the youngsters as they open the door also.
Our great nephew, Carson looks at the high stack of goodies to be handed out to many of his neighbors and friends.

TECO Streetcar 25 Cent Rides
The Teco Streetcar line that travels by rail from GaYBOR/ Ybor City thru Channelside ending at the Tampa Downtown Ft Brooke Parking Garage had its big Streetcar Fest sponsored by Centro Ybor last Saturday. How can one go wrong paying 25 cents to ride the historical Tampa Bay streetcar line that carried partiers and tourists until 1:30 AM.
Another great kick off to the Tampa Social fall season. Entertainment, live bands and DJ’s were at many of the streetcar stops and a Cupcake Festival was held in Centennial Park at the Ybor Saturday Morning Market.
Yeah & Kudos to all the groups putting on this wonderful Fall Fest!

Obituary
Angelo Montanaro 1957- 2014
This week we said a sad good bye way to early to owners of one of Tampa’s oldest Gay Bars, Baxter’s Lounge. All the many activities Angelo started including Suncoast Softball League events, Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, charity benefits, weekly Sunday football buffets, bus trips to baseball & football games, Front row stadium seating at the Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla Parades and many Pride activities.
On Saturday Night, Angelo was the host of his annual infamous Lady Baxter contest. A few days later he passed.. Here is a photo of him from that Saturday night that we found on Baxter’s facebook page.
The funeral will be Thursday, Oct 23rd. 6-8pm at Marsicano Funeral Home, 4040 Henderson Blvd. Tampa
Social’s BEAR Party Saturday
The monthly Bear Party organizer Vinnie is back at the bar helm at The Social Saturday night. He was in a terrible accident 2 months ago and was in traction and had broken bones from a moto-cross biking event. Glad you are back and so were the hundreds of Bears, Cubs and fans that came out.
It was firemen’s fantasy night among other things!

You Can Not Make This Up.
This past weekend I met a nice charming Midwest mother & her daughter while working as the TEA CUP bartender at Hamburger Marys. The daughter was in her early 20’s and had just moved here from Chicago. The Mom was in her 40’s and here for a college daughter visit.
They shared a disturbing story that happened to them the day before at a beach bar on the causeway. They were sitting at the bar when a guy walked up to them and started to chit chat.
The Mom told me he was OK looking with a dark tan and in his late 30’s. Then all of a sudden the conversation went creepy scary. He said the he wanted to show them a photo of him as ‘a child smoking a cigarette next to a cig machine’ He took out his phone and started to scroll past dozens of naked photos of himself. Then he started to talk about how good he was at anal sex. The two ladies turned away from him.
Then the guy grabbed the girl by her hair and turned her back around. Reached down and grabbed her hand. The then placed her hand on a gun he had in his pants and said, “The three of us need to go to my place right now!”
The terrified Mom turned to the couple sitting next to her and said, “Excuse me, I don’t know you but I have never been more scared than I am right now.” The husband of the neighboring couple stood up and in a very loud voice told the bartender that they need the manager here right now.
He then walked over between the ladies and the man with a gun. The guy with the gun got up called them dirty named and walked out. The ladies did the right thing.
If you’re ever in a creepy situation open your mouth and tell somebody right away. I am so glad they were here to tell me the story the next day. Who knows what could have happened if they left with that guy.
