The Trade Auction

The Liquid Lounge in GaYBOR hosted a very successful Trade Auction raising over $1,400+ that night . The staff members were auctioned off for dinner a dinner date. The highest price went to CJ in his marine Uniform. THANK YOU Liquid Lounge!!

Hamburger Mary’s GaYBOR hosted BINGO for TAMPA PRIDE. The prize gifts were way over the top !!! With concert tickets, hotel stays, bar tabs, dinners,wines & much more. With a generous donation from Hamburger Mary’s then total for the night was over $6,000 for TAMPA PRIDE. THANK YOU!!!

You Just Can Not make This Up

Today ( March 18th) is the anniversary of a good friend who has passed… Uncle Tom. I have many stories about Uncle Tom & Mark. For years Tom made the very best potato recipe ever! He wouldn’t never give it to me. Then one time I made shrimp scampi for him and he wanted that recipe. Of course I wouldn’t give it to him. After several months we finally decided to trade . BUT only…. if we did it at the Tiki Bar at The Suncoast Resort and had the bartender look at the recipe to see if looks OK. And promise not to tell anyone else. We traded and then Uncle Tom said “OH did you want the complete recipe??? I left one thing out!!!” LOL Now that he has passed here was the trick … he would put “Better than Better chicken bouillon” in the mayo. LOL Uncle Tom’s partner Mark passed away a couple weeks after Tom. Miss you both

New Trans Groups Starting this Month

Trans Parent Support Group Every 3rd Wednesday of the month at the LGBT Welcome Center. This is an opportunity for parents and family members of LGBTQA youth to meet other parents in the area and find support.

Trans S/O Support Every 4th Wednesday of the month at the LGBT Welcome Center. This is a support group for trans individuals and their significant others to meet and discuss topics with other trans couples.

SPCA Tampa Bay “Starting from Sit” Series

Thursdays in March, 6:30-7:30pm at the St. Pete Center. SPCA Tampa Bay Behavior and Training Manager, Meagan Montmeny will offer a 4-week training at Metro during the month of March. Yellowish Blue and Pink – 2 shows

YELLOWISH BLUE & PINK follows the story of a, up until this point, rule-abiding painter who dares to make and accept the color green in a world where the Society of Life Art only supports paintings that are soley blue and pink. It is a direct commentary on the biblical arguments that are made against gay rights as well as a comical glimpse into the courtship of the colors blue and yellow.
