St Pete Pride
June 23 -25th
It’s hard to believe that it’s been 15 years for the St. Pete Pride!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! Did you know that Judy B. Goode & us did the very first fundraisor for St. Pete Pride? Judy & Paul Thomas performed with Tea Cup on stilts at the Grand Central Station. We raised over $1,000 that 1st night. Now 15 years later we could not be more PROUD of our community.
 Our St. Pete Pride Surprise
This year, on page 39, of the St. Pete Pride guide there was a surprise for us. There under a photo of us was “LGBT History Exhibit.” LMAO we are just to young to be in a history exhibit!!! LOL Yes that is Mark with Joe Redner, Jack & Dan protesting the Hillsborough County Commissioners in 1998.  Where was Carrie? He took the photo.

Meet Miss Delta Mae
This week we adopted Miss Delta Mae. Our home was just too quite after Miss Amber passed. Below is a song to welcome Miss Delta Mae. We are sure you will be seeing a lot of her in Ybor City.
Facebook Rainbow Emoji
On facebook there is a new facebook like emoji. It’s a rainbow flag and many are hoping that it stay forever.  To add this emoji search “Official LGBTQ Facebook” hit like. Wait 5 minute and refresh. it should be there. here is the link we used.

You Just Can Not Make This Up

At the very 1st public organizational meet for St. Pete Pride. It was held in the leather bar section of the club Grand Central Station. Mark was bartending there at the time. The room was packed with 50+ people.  Brian Longstreth called the meeting to order. He started to introduce the purposed board.  When he announced the treasurer, people actually stood up and starting yelling loudly  *#!@#%  … this person did not become treasurer that night. This year we are celebrating year 15. Maybe it was a good thing that people objected so loudly at that 1st meeting.

Gay Day’s Turned 27

The overwhelming hundreds of thousands that descend on Orlando during the annual Gay Day’s Celebration still continues. The 1990 beginnings of a Day at Disney in Orlando that attracted hundreds of GLBT visitors its first year. The evolution of devoted founding group, Digital Queers wearing red shirts to show unity and awareness to new millennial flocking escapades of events at all the Disney Parks, Universal Studios, Sea World attraction parks, various other venues & hotels and of course the infamous Parliament House hosting top entertainment.
The first week in Orlando is the worlds largest LGBT community congregating for one hell of a party.
Auto Club, Leather, Bear, Gurl, Chorus groups, Drag competition, twinks, group organizations and yes, computer IT groups that are all gay like the annual reunion.
I met members of One Pulse in their booth, Watermark writers, Hotspots Media, Sawmill Campground
I took part in the Saturday events at the Double Tree Hotel holding the Gay Days Expo and the eye candy Pool Parties. Major company brands and destinations that support LGBT rights and expression were handing out materials and getting attendee emails. The Gay Dollar is strong!
Congratulations to another successful worldwide LGBT event.
