    This past week we saw things we had never seen before!!! On a quiet Tuesday night suddenly there were screams coming from Bradley’s on 7th. Not screams of joy, but screams of fighting!!!  Of course we had to investigate… There in the DIVA Dance Room was a huge boxing rink set up complete with 3 ropes and bouncing padded floor. It was the Semi Pro Wrestlers Assoc!!! Colorfully costumed and full of life characters. Miss Robin Demornay was the hostess??? The whole room was caught up in the action. At one point Miss Robin hit Mad Dog on the head with her microphone as she proclaimed “That’s how you train a bad dog!!!” The highlight was the final round when Mohamad took the floor.  The next time your at Bradley’s be sure you show some respect to Mohamad at the door. This is one guy you do not want to piss off!!! Just say ‘n.  We understand there will be more wrestling coming next month. Don’t miss the great time.

    The Ritz Ybor caught our attention and curiosity when up on the marque it read “Tonight Silent Disco.” Yes, we are old enough to remember Disco but never heard of Silent Disco www.SilentEvents.com . As you entered the Ritz they gave everybody headphones to wear. In the main dance room there was a DJ set up center stage, neon lights flashing everywhere and people dancing. As the night went on it got crazy and crazier. The room was so very quiet you could hear a pin drop. Guest would take one earphone off and yell at each other over the music in their other ear.  So we were hearing all kinds of wild things like, “Damn your Hot”, “Cocktail Time”, “Let’s go to my house” & many things we can not print!!!!! LOL LOL LOL

    Friday thru Sunday  1,000’s of bikers & biker fans made their way to Ybor City for the ‘Ybor Thunder Bike Fest’. In G.BAR & Czar’s parking lots was a very impressive Motorcycle Vendor Show , Classic Bike Show, Stage with Live Bands performing,  DJ Booth., Food Trucks & lots of drinks!!! Our favorite booth was Bling Riders. It looked like a Drag Queen Heaven!!! 7th Ave was closed & open to motorcycle traffic only on Fri & Sat. There were as many different bikes as riders!

   

    A new restaurant is revamping and opening in downtown area of Tampa as a new gay dinner spot. Metro Restaurant and Lounge on 511 N. Franklin Street opens its doors this weekend. Contemporary flair with a fabulous menu. New owners, Marc & Bill await your presence. Speaking of new restaurants and changes Luigi’s Cafe at the famous Don Vicente Historic Inn has started a new weekly featured lunch menu that beats the best. A Professor friend, Sharon Rose went with friends and ordered their lunch and they all had to reorder for take out to take home, it was that awesome! Former GaYBOR bar owner, John Gorman finished his medical schooling and has passed his state boards. Congratulations on your new venture John!

Sorry to hear that the new tech lounge and showbar, Mister Sisters closed in Orlando! A new For Rent sign went up at the old Blue Shark Bar and has come available on 7th Ave & 15th Street in GaYBOR next to Bradley’s on 7th!

    Volunteers of all capacities are needed to help put up decorations for historic Ybor City Nov 20th at 11 AM meeting at the Reservoir Bar. 80 people in the past have helped in this fun 2 hour setup of garland and lights transforming 7th Ave. for the holidays. Art Pool Gallery is moving to to their new home at 2030 Central Ave in St. Petersburg beginning December 1st. Their annual “Wicked Winter Wonderland” an Art… Fashion… & Music Show is Dec. 10th, 8 – 12PM.  www.artpoolgallery.com.   National  GOP Convention GLBT scouts were in Ybor City’s GaYBOR District scoping out great venue locations for the upcoming National GOP Convention in Tampa next August.  A personal tour of the district was given welcoming the 50,000 Tampa mega event political representatives and planners. Deals are being made!!!  Parties, Press, Meetings, Seminars, workshops and more.

 

The publisher & founder of Watermark Magazine. A founding member of GaYBOR District Coalition. Tom also has a law practice in Orlando. We have had the pleasure of knowing Tom since the start of Watermark. Tom is lucky to live with his 4 legged friend, Duncan.

We swear Brian can not take a bad photo. With his killer smile and bubbling personality Brian is truly a very interesting & fun person. When not working at Bradley’s on 7th, Brian can be found shopping at MC Film for underwear.

Hosting Thanksgiving or traveling to relatives or to friends homes we ask, “What is your favorite Thanksgiving dish?” Traditions favor the big bird for the day but a lot of people have given there holiday feast favorites.
