For the past 38 years we have been going to Busch gardens. Every time there is something new. This is our 5^th time going to Christmas Town. There are more lights and decorations this year. They moved the big tree from the back to the Swiss House. Here is one of our favorite things. A light show called “Carol of the Bells.” The other must thing is the Ice Show called “Christmas on Ice.” Over the years we have known many ice performers wink wink!!!

Metro Wellness & Community Centers held their Annual Fund raiser at Stetson College of Law in Gulfport.The annual fund drive supports the many LGBTA groups at the 3 Metro Wellness Centers.

The special night also had heroes receiving 3 very honored community awards. Our dear friend, Bob Pope handed out the Robert Pope Distinguished Leadership Award to St. Petersburg Deputy Mayor Dr. Kanika Tomain. Christina Burke received the Spirit of Excellence Award or working in Tampa Bay’s HIV community. Todd Richardson, a photorapher, graphic artist and part of Equality Florida for years of serving the LGBTA community.

In the 1990’s we bought custom made gay themed T-shirts at our MC FILM stores from Todd.

The big surprise was sharing the honor of Lorraine Langlois serving Metro Wellness for 25 years. Congratulations Lorraine because 1 person does make a difference.

The additional Silent Auction had products and services from around Florida up for bid.

The Hamburger Mary’s Family was shocked when we learned of the sudden passing of Rich Pierc. https://www.facebook.com/rich.pierc.5  Rich was loved by everybody that knew him. The Official celebration of life in honor of Rich will be held Wednesday October 3rd At 6:00 in Tampa.

Rich was Born June 24 1969 in Holt Michigan and lived across the street from my house we alway were friends but when I turned 14 and he was 12 we became best friends forever we went and did almost everything together I loved his family and they always loved me they were always my second family his mom and dad were the best and he had 10 brothers and sisters his sisters were all closer to our age so we did a lot with them I miss all those times at his house how fun it was and could always count on him as he could count on me 4 years ago he moved to Florida to help me at Marys which he did he worked very hard for me and lived with Larry and I at our home he was going to find a place to live but after 6 month I said no need to you can stay here forever I always thought he would be here with me forever but Sunday September 23 he passed away this has been one of the hardest things I’ve been threw I we’ll always miss you until tell we meet again I love you with all my heart lol to everyone I’m gay he wasn’t he was just Rich accepted everyone love not hate I hope everyone could learn from him he did a lot for other as you should like I told you Friday night we we’ll always be family you are my Brother
