You Can Not Make This Up.

Tea Cup & the Raw Hide
The Raw Hide Bar in New Orleans is a very famous leather & bear club in the French Quarter. One Southern Decadence weekend a large group from Tampa were there. You know that Tea Cup takes his tea cup everywhere and the Raw Hide was no exception. Our group of 8 made our way to Raw Hide one quiet afternoon. Let’s just say that Tea Cup always makes an impression! LOL LOL
The group was having a great time when Tea Cup headed to the men’s room. There was this HUGE NORTHERN FIRE DOOR over the entrance to the men’s room. You know the kind that rolls down a slanted track attached to the wall. Well there was this mean drunken little local sitting at the bar. He got up and walked over to the door and give it a hard kick. Everybody in the bar was laughing as the door rolled close but then it jumped off the track and slammed into the wall.
The bar staff not amused called in extra staff to get the door open. They even had to use a car jack to get it back on track. Locked inside was poor Tea Cup. Thank goodness the tea cup had just been re-filled! Tea Cup noticed a ladder in the restroom going up into the ceiling and could hear voices coming from there. Up the ladder went Tea Cup to meet some very interesting people smoking and not cigarettes.
After a 3/4 hour of laughter and bar workers working, the door was opened and out popped Tea Cup with new friends. Viva La New Orleans!!!

500 Girls Mural Project
Marjory Stoneman Douglas. Zora Neale Hurston. Helen Gordon Davis. Selecting Florida’s most influential women is no easy task. But the 500 Girls Mural, on view now in the History Center’s Annis Children’s Gallery, does just that, highlighting 17 women from Florida’s past.
Tampa’s Centre for Girls enlisted the help of 500 young girls to create the 18 by 23-foot mural, using the project as a fun way to teach history, arts, and literacy. The result is a vibrant installation that spans 500 years of Florida history. See it now through Dec. 2.

Chad Michaels is CHER

Season 4 on Ru Paul Drag Race, contestant Chad Michaels accelerated her status as “Queen of the Universe” impersonating Diva icon, CHER. And with great success from performing around the world, Chad found himself in GaYBOR/ Ybor City Saturday performing on the Honey Pot’s stage to a cheering packed house! The outfits were exquisite and of designer Bob Mackie inspired fame.
Often photographed with CHER on the road, collaborating with Elton John, Cindi Lauper and many more singing celebrities. Most recently Chad has also been in a number of TV shows and in commercials.
Hundreds of partiers lined up to get a pictures and autographs at the Honey Pot with the reigning CHER fan club face after entertaining the crowd. The skimpy cut designed CHER outfits, the opulent singing, the stage performance was all top notch and of celebrity status.
Thank You Honey Pot for a great night out and kicking off the fall season in GaYBOR/ Ybor City.
