One beautiful day we were walking past a sidewalk cafe in Ybor City. There sitting were two of our favorite Grandmothers of Ybor. We stopped and asked “What are you two lady’s up to today.” With a big smile they replied “We are have a Sicilian lunch today.” Had to ask “What’s a  Sicilian Lunch?” With big smiles the ladies said…… “That’s when we drink a bottle of wine and then decide if we should have lunch or another bottle!!”

With all this religious right in KY it reminded us of this. Several years ago in Tampa at one of the big box churchs there was going to be a seminar on converting homosexuals to be come heterosexuals. LOL we have known many straight guys that admitted to being Gay but not one Gay man that turned straight. Anyway we were a part of a group of LGBT Community leaders that decide to do a protest on the sidewalk in front of this church. We called ahead and told them that we were coming on Friday at 3PM. About 40 of us protesters showed up. The pastor came out and talked with us. He was actually quite nice. Then the church board came out and lined up on the church front steps. If looks could kill we would all have been dead right there. The pastor told us that they could not chance anything with their children so school was call off early. He asked us not to start our protest until after the children and been safely removed from the property. Just then the school buses started to roll out. As the buses passed us the school children started to spit at us, throw their lunches and screamed out every dirty word you could think of. Mean while the church board smiled with approval at their children. We preceded with prayers that God loves everyone… etc and left peacefully. Several months later this pastor was killed in a plane accident
