St. Pete Pride Week Activities & Across the Bay
This week Pride events will be a very solemn, exhilarating, tearful and memorable. This week St. Pete has their 13th Annual Pride events in downtown St. Pete.
The 2 big FREE events are Saturday at 8:00 pm – 11pm with the Annual St Pete Night Parade weaving its way down Central Ave amongst 150,000 colorful partiers (make sure to wave and scream loudly for GaYBOR District with TAMPA PRIDE float) and Sunday with the St Pete Pride Expo with over 300 vendors on Central Ave starting at 10am until 4pm.
It will be hot so please hydrate yourselves.
” Cabaret” will be performed through June 28th at the Straz Performing Arts Center by Mad Theatre of Tampa.
GaYBOR District, Tampa Bays GLBT district, will be holding a number of St Pete Pride Pre and After Parties in the historic Ybor City area. Hamburger Mary’s, Bradley’s on 7th, liquid, Honey Pot, Mary’s Pub and Ybor City Wine Bar are among the many celebrating.

Tampa Bay Rainbow Pride Band
With just over 1 year under their belts, the Tampa Bay Pride Band will be front and center come Saturday’s St Pete’s Pride Night Parade. The reorganized pied pipers of Tampa Bay GLBT community have played at Tampa Pride, the recent Tampa Vigil for Orlando Victims and this will be twice at St. Pete. Pride.
“We had to have a gay band performing for the community Prides.” said Daniel Stevens, a spokesperson for the band. John Davidson, a co founder of the Pride Band just moved to Australia.
The band is popular and with this past weeks Orlando tragic shooting more people want to get involved and show their personal support by being a band member.
Right now the band needs your financial support. Unexpected expenses have the organization needing community support.
David Rosa, TBRPB President, said it is only a bump but we need financial funds for the unexpected items now.
