Memorial Day Weekend
Summer Free Agent Day 8/13/17
The Suncoast Softball League, the Tampa Bay area’s largest GLBTA sports league, holds its summer softball skills day for new players interested in joining the league on Sunday August 13th (rescheduled from July 30th rainout). Our league plays in the spring, summer and fall (as well as tournaments around the country including the Gay Softball World Series). Our Tampa tournament, the GasparillaSoftballClassic.com, happens each President’s Day in February.
Players are placed in divisions based on their individual level of play, from recreation (or where beginners normally start) to intermediate to advanced. At the skills day, players will field ground balls, throw, catch fly balls and hit. Registration begins at 9:30; practice at 10:00!
Whether you already have a team, or you are new and starting from scratch (we can place you on a team), you’re welcome to join us.
Once the day is over, we’ll have our social event of the day called Extra Innings. Extra Innings events are usually held at the end of each day of play. We leave softball behind and meet new friends or renew old ones. Sunday 8/13’s Extra Innings will be at one of our league’s original sponsors, City Side Lounge, 3703 Henderson Blvd in south Tampa. The event will start at 2pm and run until 6pm. The #Rays play at the #Indians that afternoon chasing 1st place!

I was talking with a good friend one day. She told me that she was the ultimate “Hall and Oats” fan. Everyday she just had to hear at least one of their songs. When she was away from home and her music, she would actually call… The “Hall and Oats Emergency Hot Line!” I laughed and said “That can’t me true. There really isn’t a Hall and Oats Emergency Hotline???? Is there???” Yes there is and here is the number 719 266-2837 “OMG Its REAL!!! ” When you call they give the choice of 4 songs. then play the whole song. LOL You Just Can’t make This Up!!!

We have been very lucky to have worked with some great sub contractors on our home. With every home improvement be sure to get at least 3 estimates in witting. Some times the cheapest one isn’t the best. One of our favorite contractors is Ruben Lopez. We first met Ruben as our framing contractor. Then Ruben helped with drywall and outside painting. There isn’t much Ruben can not do. We would recommend making Ruben one of your 3 bidders for sure. 813 357 4342
