C.H. Robinson Worldwide, Inc. Opens Branch In Historic Ybor City

What a change in the occupancy diversity of Centro Ybor. Once a mega boutique retail small mall in the historic district with stores like Urban Outfitters, Victoria Secrets and 20 other retail stores has now changed to multi use/ office company units including the newly opened C.H. Robinson Worldwide, Inc a logistics Fortune 500 company headquartered in Minnesota. C.H. Robinson is hiring 100 employeess that deals in ship, air, railroad and land freight deliveries at the Centro Ybor branch. Others office groups include Tampa Digital, Chappel Robert’s Advertising Firm, Florida Business Interiors and 2 other office businesses opening soon. David Harvey, VP of M&J Wilkow, owners of Centro Ybor greeted the new office complex changeover because of the economic uncertainty times and diversity of today’s society. “Centro Ybor is now 90% filled.” said Harvey with a big grin.
Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn greeted the new blue polo shirt company with bubbling Tampa spirit. “Ybor City is different from any other city in America.” the mayor said. “Welcome to Tampa!” The mayor also did a special call out to GaYBOR District Coalition in for its positive economic changes and impact that have recently occured in Historic Ybor City and to both Stephen Moss of Florida Entertainment Group and Carrie West of MC FILM and president of GaYBOR District Coalition.
C.H. Robonson Worldwide business’s new relocation and added staff will help fill the Ybor restaurants, stores and clubs making for a better prosperous Ybor City.
Other great Ybor news is that USAmeriBank has leased the old Colonial Bank building on East 7th Ave. and will be opening this fall

Collage Ybor Opens

Congratulations to Neily Cornacchi & Shane Zinn on the opening of “Collage Ybor”. The opening party was catered by Datz Deli. The new artsy & musical bar are in the old Play Club on 8th Ave & 17th Street in Ybor City. You know the food is great when Miss Sharon Rose texted everybody “Hurry the Shrimp are Great!” And the drinks were fab! Glow Party @ Steam Fridays

The Glow Party last year was fantastic. Everybody thought Steam couldn’t top it but THEY DID!!!  The staff were all painted in gleaming black light colors. There were ingenious black lit screens hanging from the ceiling that were painted with black light glistening designs. The 1970’s effect was wonderful. 1,000’s and we do mean 1,000’s of glow sticks were passed out! The drag show WOW’d the crowd with an all electric black light costume performance. After the show out came boxes & boxes of high end LED party toys for the partiers including sunshine bright swords, twirling wands, blinking crowns, lit up jewelry & more. Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better off shot the confetti canons again & again!!! It is very easy to see why The Honey Pot is the #1 Club in Tampa Bay that everyone is talking about!

But did you know IS that at age 6 when Judy’s teacher asked her… “What your favorite football team” Judy said “Well my mom’s a Cleveland Browns Fan and so is my Dad so I’m a Cleveland Brown Fan!” The teach asked…”If your dad is a idiot and your MoM’s a idiot, doses that make you an idiot too?”  Judy relied “NO that makes me a Pittsburgh Steelers Fan!” HERE WE GO BROWNIES HERE WE GO,  WOOF WOOF!!!!
