Hi Mark & Carrie:
As I am sure you are aware the Ybor Youth Clinic is holding a
fundraiser on on Aug 20th from 8-11pm at their clinic at 1315 E &th Ave
#104 in Ybor. The fundraiser is $100 per person and will provide the
much need funds to open this much need clinic.
The Ybor Youth Clinic is a new and long overdue addition to services
for those in need in Tampa Bay. The mission statement reads (in part)
as follows:
Our mission is to provide the highest quality, innovative,
compassionate and nonjudgmental health care services to our youth in
an environment tailored to their specific and unique needs. Our health
care services will include HIV testing and treatment; primary,
specialty and episodic care; GYN and contraceptive care; comprehensive
STI testing and treatment; psychiatric and mental health screening and
care; and access to various adolescent research trials.
This center will provide much needed care and support for young people
in the GLBT community. Many of these kids have been rejected by their
families either because of who they choose to love or their health
status. They need us.
The fundraiser details are:
Saturday, August 20 from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM
at the Ybor Youth Clinic: 1315 E. 7th Ave., #104
Please do not RSVP to this email. We will send more official notice
later (i.e. an Evite).
We hope you’ll take a few moments to consider the importance of this
effort, and join us in giving your support and, yes, love for this
effort.
Could you please add this to your weekly email blasts so this event
will be a great success and expidite the opening of the clinic.
