Ybor City Saturday Market Launches the Lynn Kroesen Giving Grant to Support Budding Entrepreneurs

Tampa, FL – [10.18.2025] — As part of their celebration recognizing 25 years in the community, the Ybor City Saturday Market is proud to announce the January 2026 launch of the Lynn Kroesen Giving Grant, a quarterly award created to honor the legacy of Lynn Kroesen and her 25 years of dedicated service to the Market and the broader Ybor City community. This new initiative will provide a new business with the opportunity to participate in the Saturday Market free of charge during their first three months.

Lynn Kroesen was the heart and soul of the Ybor City Saturday Market. For two and a half decades, she worked tirelessly to create a vibrant, inclusive space that not only supports small businesses and artisans but also strengthens the cultural and civic fabric of Hillsborough County. Through her leadership, countless local entrepreneurs have launched their businesses, built connections, and grown alongside the historic district of Ybor City.

“Naming this grant after Lynn is a small way to recognize the enormous impact she continues to have – not just on the market, but on generations of makers, creators, and community builders,” said Dylan Breese, Executive Director of the Ybor City Saturday Market. “Her selfless service and vision have made the market a welcoming space for everyone, especially those just starting out. We’re thrilled to extend her legacy by supporting new small businesses in this way.”

The Lynn Kroesen Giving Grant is designed to accelerate the goals and presence of local start-ups by giving them visibility and access to the thousands of visitors who attend the Saturday Market. Recipients will be selected quarterly and granted a no-fee vendor space to engage with the community, promote their work, and start their dream.
