Call Meeting to Order Carrie West, Pres.
A special presentation was made by Tampa Police Officer Sean Mahabir.
Officer Sean came to the meeting on his day off to talk about the shooting death at Empire Night Club. We were told, ‘the club has had 55 violent crimes over the past 10 years.’ Members expressed outrage & frustration over the affect on the Ybor City’s image with these 55 violent crimes. Officer Mahabir listened to everybody, answered everybody’s questions and thanked GaYBOR for our committed support.
Everybody was invited to the new Tampa Police Memorial Gardens Dedication on Oct 22 at 8 AM. at the TPD District 3 Headquarters on 22nd Street North.
On a much lighter note…Officer Sean said “It’s sure is hard to find a parking spot when you’re not driving a police car!” LOL LOL

* Orlando Out with Pride Parade canceled and rescheduled, Sunday, Nov 13
* Guavaween, Oct 29, Motorized units and 3 large band areas. Expecting large turnout!
* Hamburger Mary’s & RISE Sunday $1000.00 Halloween Costume Contest, Sun Oct 30th
* Ybor Thunder Bike Fest, Nov 11 & 12, Ybor’s 7th Ave will be closed both days!!

* Dec 1 Metro Wellness 3 K Walk, World AIDS Day , run is at Lowery Park Zoo
* Stephen Moss went thru a good number of Ybor City and GaYBOR Holiday events throughout Ybor including Christmas Tree lighting with Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn , Disney’s snow machines on 7th Ave, Santa Claus coming into Ybor City on TECO Trolley, lighted & holiday decorated streets, horse carriage rides, art shows and GaYBOR’s Store Front Holiday Decorating Contest
