What a change in the occupancy diversity of Centro Ybor. Once a mega boutique retail small mall in the historic district with stores like Urban Outfitters, Victoria Secrets and 20 other retail stores has now changed to multi use/ office company units including the newly opened C.H. Robinson Worldwide, Inc a logistics Fortune 500 company headquartered in Minnesota. C.H. Robinson is hiring 100 employeess that deals in ship, air, railroad and land freight deliveries at the Centro Ybor branch. Others office groups include Tampa Digital, Chappel Robert’s Advertising Firm, Florida Business Interiors and 2 other office businesses opening soon. David Harvey, VP of M&J Wilkow, owners of Centro Ybor greeted the new office complex changeover because of the economic uncertainty times and diversity of today’s society. “Centro Ybor is now 90% filled.” said Harvey with a big grin.
Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn greeted the new blue polo shirt company with bubbling Tampa spirit. “Ybor City is different from any other city in America.” the mayor said. “Welcome to Tampa!” The mayor also did a special call out to GaYBOR District Coalition in for its positive economic changes and impact that have recently occured in Historic Ybor City and to both Stephen Moss of Florida Entertainment Group and Carrie West of MC FILM and president of GaYBOR District Coalition.
C.H. Robonson Worldwide business’s new relocation and added staff will help fill the Ybor restaurants, stores and clubs making for a better prosperous Ybor City.
