Hi everyone!
A great nonprofit organization I am involved with (and President of), LTB 11 Foundation, is hosting a Concert 4 Hope on Thursday, July 14th from 6:00pm-10:00pm at The Venue in Clearwater (right over the Howard Franklin). It is going to be an amazing night filled with good food from the Venue, dessert from Timpanos, live music from The Black Honkey’s and another singer on the outside deck and it is being emceed by Brendan McLaughlin of ABC Action News. There will be an amazing silent auction with a bunch of items from every sports team in the area, ESPN, local restaurants, vacation packages, hotel stays and so much more. We anticipate more than 350 local business people and community leaders from Pinellas, Hillsborough, Pasco and Polk County. It will be a great event to not only have fun at but to network, meet some amazing people and catch up with friends you haven’t seen in a while.
Tickets are $20 (and include your food). All the proceeds from the event go to LTB 11 Foundation, A Kid’s Place and Joshua House. A Kid’s Place and Joshua House help abused children and are amazing organizations. We have several great sponsors and it is going to be an amazing night. You can purchase your tickets online at www.ltb11.org or www.ltbconcert4hope.com. Please let your friends know about it. You can donate to LTB 11 Foundation on the website if you can’t make it to the event. Please email or call me with any questions.
It is going to be an amazing night and you will be helping us help kids in need! I hope to see you there!

Ybor City Sets Up For Jose Cuervo Challenge
The CuervoGames is a free festival for locals that are 21 and up that features an intense national competition where WipeOut meets American Gladiators, a special musical performance by B.o.B, tons of Cuervo Girls, Ride the Lime and of course… Jose Cuervo!
The Tampa edition of the Cuervo games will be held Saturday, June 18 at 7th Ave and 14th St. in Ybor City.
The CuervoGames competition tests the athletic ability and legendary skill of local competitors as teams of four complete a series of intense obstacles in a race against the clock to claim the local title and advance to the national finals. Competitors will scale a 20-foot rock climbing wall as they’re drenched by rushing water in the Waterfall Climb, capture flags from the Barrel Roll Mayan Pyramid, survive the Agave Gauntlet’s passage of various obstacles, and finally brave any fear of heights to capture agave leaves 30 feet in the air during the Highwire Harvest. The winning team will earn a free trip to the CuervoGames National Finals where they will proudly represent their hometown.
Here’s the line up for the CuervoGames Saturday, June 18, 2011 (times are subject to change):
3:30 PM – Qualifier Round Begins
7:30 PM – Event Doors Open
8:00 PM – Maxim Hometown Hotties Competition
8:20 PM – Cuervo Games Finals
9:30 PM – Performance by B.o.B
USA NATIONAL SOFTBALL
TEAMS COME TO TAMPA BAY
On Saturday, June 25 the Florida Amateur Softball Association and the Amateur Softball Association of America will welcome the USA Women’s National Fast Pitch Softball Teams to Tampa Bay.
The National Team and the Junior National Team will compete in a double-header starting at 6:00 p.m. at the Plant City Stadium. After the games have concluded, fans have the opportunity to attend an autograph session.
The National Team, led by Coach Ken Eriksen, who is also the Head Softball Coach at the University of South Florida, is preparing for the upcoming World Cup of Softball VI in Oklahoma City later this summer. The Junior National team, featuring University of South Florida’s Kourtney Salvarola, is preparing for the Junior Women’s World Championship in South Africa this winter.
The double header is just part of a Girls Fast Pitch Tournament at the Plant City Stadium and the Randy Larsen FourPlex that weekend. The tournament is for Girls 8U through 18U in both A and B Divisions.
For more information, to purchase tickets and to register for the tournament, visit www.playasa.org. Tickets can also be purchased at the Plant City Stadium.
The Tampa Bay Sports Commission works closely with Tampa Bay & Company and the community to attract, promote and organize major amateur sporting events, as well as grassroots youth sports programs that foster the ongoing development and quality of life for the entire Tampa Bay area.
