What a super week of events. Tuesday, Tampa had a hurricane storm in January! The weathermen had gone out to warn us to “beware of the locally high winds and possible tornados'” It did storm. The Seminole Heights Neighborhood Associations grouped together and had planned a candidates forum at the beautiful Garden Club in Seminole Heights. During the storm we chanced the flooded city street to get there. Sure enough all the candidates had made the venture and about another 200 residents. “This election is very important to the future of this city.” the WMNF radio station moderator told the standing room only crowd. It was a great classy forum. Thank you for the opportunity to meet so many people. I did editorial board meetings with both of Tampa big newspapers. Gasparilla had us knocking at doors throughout north Tampa by Busch Gardens. We have been averaging 400 homes a day 3 days a week on what we call our “front porch politics walk.” A special Meet & Greet at Hamburger Mary’s Sunday was presented by the Gospel Brunch. A forum of all the District 5 candidates was  filmed for Women League of Voters on CTTV, City of Tampa Television channel 615.

This week will be no different, very busy and am excited meeting everyone on the campaign trail!

 

 

 

 YCDC (Ybor City Development Corp) hosted the Tampa Bay Concierge Association for a social walk through historic Ybor City. Mark & I, being a YCDC board member took part in the 80+ members walking  tour. Stops at the Ritz Ybor, Hamburger Mary’s , King Corona, Green Iguana, and the Castle. Along the way Captain Morgan appeared getting ready for the annual month long Gasparilla Festivities. A nice welcome bag was also given to each of the areas hotel directors. They are always giving positive exposure to Tampa and Ybor City, to conventioneers, businessmen and tourists needing activities to do in Tampa. They give the best advise. Visit Ybor City
