A NEW Healthy Community Outdoor event is the works…. Rain or Shine Sunday, December 11th!
First at 9:30 am registration and 10:30 am race for TAMPA PRIDE HOLIDAY FUN RUN Sunday, December 11 starting in Centennial Park in historic Ybor City. The Festive Holiday event has 3 different runs for the community to participate in. The 1.5 Mile Holiday Fun Run for Teams, Companies and individuals.
2nd is the HOLIDAY KIDS RUN (2-12 years) & FREE Gifts (As supply last) with a visit with Old St Nick. Kickoff is at 12 noon for the 9th Street Race with parents as helpers for children 2-5 year olds.
3rd is the Comedic HIGH HEEL TROTT that will have Individuals and Teams competing for bragging rights of the Tampa High Heel winner. The event starts at 1 pm. A few obstacles are in the planned in Heels Trott!
Dress up and Wear your classy Red & Green Holiday running attire. Open to Men & Women with smiles. A lot of media will be there and supports a Great Community Cause.

KIKIKI III
One of the oldest LGBT bars in Tampa was the KIKIKI. The 1st KIKIKI was opened in the 1940’s where the bus stations is today. #2 was a few blocks away downtown Tampa on Tampa Street. Today it is a parking lot. #3 was on Kennedy Blvd. and was the last one open. It closed a few years ago and the building still is there but was sold. There was a #4 for a short time on Central Ave. in St. Petersburg.
One day a semi drove thru it. LOL As with any club there are 1,000’s of stories. Most of them are true about the wild KIKIKI. All bars/clubs are successful in part to the owners, staff, location & parties. The sole/spirit is the people who become regulars, friends and family.
When the KIKIKI closed the patrons were all still friends and family. Something really fun has now happened. The friends and family have now found a new home and are all meeting every Sunday at The Liquid Lounge in Ybor City. Stop by Liquid Lounge next Sunday and ask the question…. Anybody know a wild story about the KIKIKI III? Then sit back for a wild time. CHEERS!!!

March of the Pumpkin King
It was a very successful 1st year for the March of the Pumpkin King in Ybor City Saturday night. 100’s of people were in the parade and on floats. Even more packed the sidewalks to cheer everybody on.

Horse Power for Kids
HorsePower for Kids, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization who provides a farm and petting zoo for people who would benefit from interaction with animals. HorsePower for Kids, Inc. currently serves as a sanctuary for animals of all kinds. The farm is located in Oldsmar south of the Tampa Horse Race Track.
Although started as a horse farm, recent development in the Tampa area has led to the closure of the horse trails. However, they are still a fully operational farm and invite everyone to come visit the animals!

You Just Can Not make This Up
There was a former Tampa Mayor who was quite the HOOT and we both liked a lot. We would run into him in the strangest places. Like restaurants, the malls, government buildings, community fundraisers, parties… all kinds of places.
He would always ask Mark the same question…. “Do you know where the men’s room is?” One time Mark asked him back. “Why do you always ask me that question?”
The Mayor with a big smile and said…… “Because you always seem to know where it is.”
LMAO. I guess that’s a fair answer. LOL LOL
