Janet Reno Died this past Monday November 7, 2016. Janet served as the Attorney General of the United States from 1997 to 2001. In 2002 Janet ran for Governor of Florida. She was famous from driving her red pickup truck across Florida. Now here is our Janet Reno Story. Every February the SunCoast Resort (at the time the largest LGBT resort in America) would host a push pull walking parade thru the courtyard. The photo below was of our group and Mark walking on stilts. At the end of the parade Mark noticed a red pickup truck. Then on stilts walked up to a lady and said…… “You look just like Janet Reno.” She said “That’s because I am Janet Reno.” Mark told her that he was a fan of her. Janet said “Well then that makes you my tallest fan ever!” That summer every time there was a red pickup truck in the parking lot people would say “Is Janet Reno here?” Do you know how many Lesbians were driving red pickup truck in 2002? LMAO

This weekend is the rescheduled date for Orlando’s Come Out With Pride Celebration. The expected attendance is said to be over 150,000 strong for the big and historic event at Lake Eola Park in downtown Orlando. The Festival Market, Concert and Pride Parade all happen on Saturday. www.comeoutwithpride.com
Major companies have signed on in support this years Pride event because of last Junes shooting spree attack at the Pulse Night Club where 49 innocent LGBTA partiers were murdered and hundreds more were wounded in America’s deadliest mass shooting in the early hours.
Just this week the City of Orlando agreed to purchase the Pulse Night Club to make a permanent memorial.

TAMPA PRIDE HOLIDAY FUN RUN Re- scheduled to February
TAMPA PRIDE 2017 had to re-schedule the December 11 Holiday Fun Run events due to some conflicting events. We are working with the Tampa Special Events Dept for the new date that will be in February 2017.
The 3 Fun events include the 1.5 Mile Fun Run, the Kid’s Race and the Fabulous Funny HIGH HEEL TROTT that are all in Ybor City.

PAT FRANK WINS Hillsborough Clerk of the Circuit Courts,
PAT KEMP WINS County Commissioner Seat 6
Hillsborough County have 2 big Pat winners in the Tuesday election. Pat Frank was re-elected to the Hillsborough County Clerk of the Courts and Comptroller for the county beating challenger Eric Seidel, attorney & TV personality for the top court directive spot.
Pat Kemp won Hillsborough County Board of Commissioners District 6 countywide seat over Tim Shock. That seat had been held by 2 term commissioner Kevin Beckner. Kevin who was elected in 2008 and was the first gay elected county commissioner. He worked hard for 8 years in the whole community. Hard working candidate kemp, an attorney, said she will continue to lead in Beckner’s shoes
